'Fra Vadested til Vaandesmed' was released on Taakes album 'Noregs Vaapen' (2011).
Noregs vaapen is the fifth full-length album, and 12th release from Norwegian black metal band Taake.

Despite being Norwegian, I have not been able to understand the meaning of the word 'vaandesmed', but it seems to be connected with the old word 'vaand' which could be translated to 'wand' (eng. a long, thin stick or rod.). The word 'smed' signifies 'a maker'/'someone who makes'. So it may be a link to Taake's 'Svartekunst' (eng. black magic) and dark wizardry. Who knows.

A great song in any regard, with a hypnotic (magical?) 6 + 7 bars repeating melody line.
